ISBA News December 2000
From the Chair
A wintery hello to everyone and I hope you are all staying warm. Several things have been going on with ISBA that I would briefly like to cover with you all as we are close to the end of this year:
1. We all need to get familiar with our Constitution and By-laws, as we are going to be operating by them strictly from now on. If you see an area of problem, contact your District Director and give her/him your thoughts.
2. We are putting our Directors to work, so anything that you have a question about concerning ISBA, you are encourage to contact them first.
3. We are in the midst of an online e-mail Board meeting, and as soon as we have some concrete information to pass on, you'll hear about it.
4. All Committee chairs should make a monthly report concerning their committee's progress to the Board. This can be done by submitting it by email to either myself or Gwen. If anyone needs any help or has any concerns concerning their committees, please let us know. We are a team here and have to work together to keep things going forward.
5. It has been an eventful last few months. Sure, we have had our ups and downs, but on the whole thy are mostly ups. We had a very successful auction, have got the association moving forward, set up committees that we did not have functioning before and made an impact in general. We know where we stand with ADGA,. We have a new Registration chair to work with, 2 in fact! There is a new ADGA President that seems pretty open minded and dedicated to making over all processes fair to all concerned. So a lot has been done, and you deserve a pat on the back for your energies, your patience, and dedication.

7. We now have a central Link center for those online. It will be at the bottom of your ISBA messages. There are links to: ISBA Web Page, Sable Gallery, ISBA Forms, ISBA newsletters, Joining ISBA, Renewing Memberships, Fund Raisers, Donations, ISBA Database, Color Carrier Datqabase, Member Home Page Links, Online Sales List Link, All American Program, ADGA, AGS, Membership Directory, Constituiton and By-laws, etc. We created this with the intent to make accessing these pages easier for those online.
8. We still plan on doing our book of funny stories and experiences raising goats. Not all stories have to be funny.Stories on how you chose your herd name, recipes, etc, can go in this book. Send your submissions! You can send more than one!
9. We are really needing some advertisements for the newsletter to help cover the cost of it. ( Mailing, paper, ink, stamps) The work may be all volunteer, but I have yet to get Uncle Sam to agree to tote the newlsetter to our offline members for free.... so, PLEASE, check out our more than reasonable advertising rates and submit your adsto myself and your money to Gwen. You can also pay for your advertsing online with PAY PAL, so how much easier can it get?
Well, folks, I guess that is all for now, but everyone take care in the snow, and have a safe arrivial into 2001!
